About Me

I have been in practice as a psychotherapist since 1995. I use Body-oriented Psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness approaches, and ego state work in my therapeutic work with clients to help create lasting healing and change.

In addition to my training as a psychotherapist, I am a graduate of the School for Body-Mind Centering® in North Carolina where I became certified as a Somatic Movement Educator in 2010. I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher with advanced training in Chakra Yoga. I have received extensive training over the past twenty years in multiple approaches to helping heal the body, through bodywork, yoga and other somatic/body disciplines. These include Body-mind Centering®, Yoga, CranioSacral bodywork, Reiki, improvisational dance and theater, and mindfulness meditation.

I have also been a trainer and consultant to other therapists who are integrating body-oriented approaches with talk therapy.

I hold an M.S.S.W. degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and a B.A. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I am a professional member of the United States Association of Body Psychotherapy and the National Association of Social Workers.
